Managing Director – Protan Türkiye

To strengthen our position and accelerate growth in a strategically important market, Protan is seeking a Managing Director for Protan Türkiye — a role that combines strategic direction with strong commercial leadership and hands-on operational execution. The role is located at our offices and production in Istanbul. 

Protan Türkiye produce and sell systems within the Roofing and Waterproofing market. Sales is done local in Türkiye and to surrounding countries like Gulf region, KSA and Egypt in addition to global supply of Tunnel membrane and intercompany supply to other daughter companies of Protan Global.

The factory is located in Gebze, Istanbul with approx. 50 employees and a turnover of around 25 MUSD.

The role:

The Managing Director holds full responsibility for the performance, development and long-term positioning of Protan in Türkiye. This includes commercial strategy, customer development, operational leadership and full P&L ownership. The role also ensures strong financial governance and adequate internal controls in line with Group standards (ICFR), embedded in day-to-day management.

This is a role for a leader who can define and execute a clear market strategy, strengthen Protan’s competitive position and drive sustainable, profitable growth while maintaining close oversight of day-to-day operations and delivery performance.

Key focus areas include:

• Driving profitable growth through market development, customer acquisition and strong commercial governance.
• Building and managing strategic relationships with partners, distributors and contractors.
• Ensuring robust operational performance across the organization with a strong HSEQ focus.
• Leading and developing a multidisciplinary team, fostering accountability, clarity and high performance.
• Collaborating closely with the Group’s matrix structure to align plans and secure operational excellence and best practice.
• Securing process discipline, KPI tracking and continuous improvement.
• Representing Protan externally as a credible, engaged and proactive business leader in the region.

We are looking for a leader who:

• Holds a higher education degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing or a related field.
• Has a proven track record in commercial growth, market expansion and customer-centric leadership.
• Brings experience from operationally intensive environments with full P&L responsibility.
• Leads with clarity, drive, integrity, a high degree of business ethics, building strong teams and creating alignment around clear objectives.
• Communicates clearly and confidently across levels and cultures, with fluency in English; knowledge of Turkish and Scandinavian languages is considered an advantage
